Lovely place, Great guide

Joyce Woon, Singapore, 13 Jun 2007
My family of 11 visited Siem Reap for 4 days from 29 May to 1 June. Before the trip, I searched the internet for reviews on hotels and local tour guides. We sent out emails to 3 tour guides, of which 2 replied. We finally decided on engaging the services of John Teng or johnangkor@yahoo.com or Mobiles: (+855) 16 51 8888 / (+855) 12 99 5977) even though the other guide who replied to our enquiry showed a better command of the English language (not to say that John's English is no good). This is because John also emailed us a recommended itinerary based on the duration of our stay and he came across as very sincere. True enough, he was not only sincere and earnest in his service, we also find him very honest, patient and attentive to our needs (we are travelling with 3 elderly and 3 young children).

We enjoyed ourselves tremendously while in Siem Reap, and we must say a large part was due to John's very approachable, friendly and accommodating personality. He has great knowledge of the places/temples that he brought us to and gave us good recommendations on restaurants with good food and reasonable prices. Through the conversations, we also know that he is proud of his country and its heritage.

Cambodia is a lovely country and Angkor Wat is breathtakingly beautiful! Khmer food is also worth sampling. The many other temples are also fascinating; the carvings on the walls are simply awesome!

Oh, if you need a visa to enter Cambodia, like our Indonesian domestic helper, Heni, then we highly recommend you apply via e-visa. It's simple and super fast. Heni got hers in 2 days time! Highly efficient and without hassle!

If you like historical sites, visit Siem Reap, and don't forget to email John Teng to engage his services because we are one group of very satisfied customers
Joyce Woon's Feedback on e-Visa

I was extremely happy to learn that I did not have to go all the way physically with my domestic helper, Heni, to the Cambodian Embassy to apply for her Visa. I followed the simple to understand instructions on the website, applied for the e-Visa and paid with my credit card. The very next day, I received a very prompt confirmation on the application and another day later, the e-Visa was emailed to me! I have never come across such efficiency in visa application! And Heni did not encounter any problems when she presented her e-Visa to customs upon arrival either. Very impressive indeed!
